Why isn’t Network Marketing as Good as Affiliate Marketing
Friday, December 18th, 2009I know a bunch of network marketers who are great at what they do. These guys are always on the phone or computer and they never pass up a chance to tell someone about the great opportunity they are involved in. Network marketing is an effective way to make money, but the sad fact is: almost everyone who tries this type of program will inevitably fail. This is because it takes a rare personality-type to succeed in network marketing.
For those of you who are new to marketing and the whole online wealth-creation world, it is important to focus on a business that will allow you to learn without risk and achieve success right away. Most network marketers will not fully explain how hard it really is to recruit others to join a company. It takes boatloads of time and energy to get just one person in your downline and then your success is directly tied into your downline’s efforts. I like to have more control of the businesses I am involved in.
Affiliate marketing is simple. It is not difficult to find a good product, you can use the internet to let others know about your product and you will make money if you take the time to market correctly. I know I do not feel comfortable selling the latest and greatest product or service to my friends and family. I doubt that you would feel comfortable with this concept right away, either. Most affiliate marketing programs let you work at your own pace from the comfort of your computer and because you are telling, not selling, there is no rejection to worry about. Almost all network marketing companies are expensive to join because you have to buy a bunch of products, where most affiliate programs cost nothing to join.
I recommend finding a good affiliate program like mine to begin with (I had to throw in a shameless plug – I’m sorry) and learn the ropes of how the process really works. Network marketing companies are great at hyping you up, but ask yourself where they will be a few weeks after you join? More than likely you will be left on your own with a bunch of cheesy products. Trust me, this is not a fun position to be in and you are much better off finding an affiliate program that offers marketing materials and a quality product.
