What is Google Adwords?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

You may be wondering how I can talk about an online business generating money immediately. It’s really an easy concept. The internet is open 24-hours a day and during that time, there are people all over the world who are constantly searching for some form of information.

There are advertising programs out there that allow a person to buy traffic and within a matter of minutes, there will be a steady stream of visitors going to the target website. The largest of these programs is Google Adwords and through this pay-per-click advertising platform, it is possible to instantly be listed at the top of the search results for certain keyword terms.

The way that Adwords works for us is like this: an internet marketer signs up on the Google website, decides which keywords they want to draw traffic from and then they decide how much they are willing to pay for the service. Obviously, the more one pays, the more raw traffic they will generate, but online marketing success is not just about volume. You want to get visitors to your website who are acutely interested in the products or services that you are marketing.

Mastering Google Adwords does take a little bit of time and it is basically a process of trial-and-error. Believe me, I made plenty of mistakes when I first started out and that is why I am always available to make sure that others do not fall into the same traps that I did. The biggest problem that most new marketers have with pay-per-click is that they spend too much money on certain highly sought-after keywords. There are some tricks to using Google Adwords to effectively make money online and one of the keys is to figure out how to get the most targeted traffic to your website for the least amount of money.

Like I said, I am here to help. But the bottom line is this: Google Adwords will send visitors to your website right away and if they are interested in what you are offering, they will buy it. This is exactly how you can make money immediately with a solid marketing program like mine.

How to Drive Free Traffic to your Website

Friday, December 25th, 2009

I know I talk a lot about Google Adwords and pay-per-click advertising – there is a good reason for that. Purchasing traffic allows a marketer the opportunity to instantly get exposure for their website and pay-per-click programs make it possible to earn money right away. Still, there are ways to drive free traffic to your site. Although these techniques take a bit of upfront work – not a lot of work or I wouldn’t be doing them – the visitors you will get because of these efforts will almost always be ready to buy.

Article marketing and writing in a blog is a great way to drive free traffic to a website. There are tons of free blog and article submission websites and the traffic that comes as a result of using these resources is highly targeted – this is because your words have piqued an interest and the readers are eager to learn more. It takes some time to write a quality article, but the results are well worth the efforts involved.

Forums are another great place for marketers to generate free traffic. There are hundreds of appropriate forums to be found online and by posting interesting comments in relevant discussions, you will gain the respect of the community. Soon, the forum’s members and readers will want to learn more about what you are all about, so they will go to your website. You should post a link to your site in your signature line immediately after joining a forum.

Offline efforts are also an effective way to obtain free traffic. Talking to friends or associates about your site never hurts. Plus, you can hang fliers and pass out business cards in strategic locations. The visitors that come to your site because of offline efforts are pre-qualified, so this means that a high percentage of them will make a purchase.

There are many other ways to drive free traffic to your website like online classified, advertising sites and by learning search engine optimization techniques, but the above-mentioned strategies are a good place to start. A successful marketer will take advantage of many different methods to obtain traffic as a successful online business boils down to a numbers game – the more targeted traffic you generate, the more money you will make.

How to Quickly Drive Traffic to Your Website

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Many people get so pumped up about starting their own online business that they are at a loss when the time comes to actually start making money. The first step in this process is to gain a thorough understanding of the type of business they are conducting. For the most part, this should have been done during the evaluation phase. The second step is to begin driving traffic to their business’ website. This can be done in several ways and by implementing these steps; one can start generating an income right away.

I may sound like a broken record, but Google Adwords is such a great tool for quickly driving traffic to a website. It takes mere minutes to set up and once the appropriate keywords are chosen, a steady stream of traffic will begin to be directed towards a site. Through the process of learning the intricacies of Adwords, extremely targeted traffic can be obtained, but this takes a bit of practice to achieve. In the interim, a person can use this program right after they get their website running to gain exposure and start making sales.

After a marketer has commenced Google Adwords, they should start a viral marketing campaign. I know, this sounds like a disease, but really, all viral marketing is about is creating a buzz surrounding your site. The best way to do this is to email every contact that you know and tell them why you are very excited about your new business. Make sure to tell your contacts to let others know about your website and before long, the site will be inundated with traffic.

There is no time like the present, they say, and to wait any longer than necessary before driving traffic to a website ends up wasting money. The quicker that people know you are in business, the quicker you will start making money, so it is critical to implement the steps mentioned above expediently.
